Hear what some of guests have to say about their recent stay at Stage Neck Inn.
We had an absolutely lovely stay here. The rooms are beautiful and well-appointed. The staff incredibly kind, thorough, and patient. The views stellar and a teeny walk to the beach. Dinner was delicious overlooking the water.
Well maintained classic hotel on the Maine coast. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, parking is easy, views are great. Staff are exceptionally accommodating and the food is solid too. Will stay there again on our next trip to York
Beautiful rooms w a great view. Great food and wonderful staff. Would recommend!!!
This review is just for the restaurant. The food, service, and view were wonderful! Had a great time.
Staff is amazing. Always friendly and helpful. The rooms are very nice, and the views are incredible.
This was such a romantic beautiful location. I would love to plan a trip and stay here longer.
My daughter and son in law had a wonderful wedding at Stage Neck. The catering, staff, and planning all went smoothly. Very special place.
We had our wedding at the Stage Neck and everything about the experience was top notch. The team is so professional, friendly and helpful. Thank you for hosting us and our friends for a night we won't forget.
Stage Neck Inn was perfect for our stay. Housekeeping Team was outstanding! (I was the Dir of Housekeeping at the Waldorf Astoria and Plaza Hotels in my early Hotel Mgt career) Room was spotless and well cared for. Kudos to the Engineering Team as well. Restaurant Staff was very good. Had an excellent dinner our first night! Haddock was perfectly cooked and the Blueberry Pie was awesome. Local coffee, views etc are excellent. Take the Fisherman’s Walk, check out the Beach!! Great stay overall!
We just hosted a family weekend event with 7 rooms - all our guests and I were so impressed with the friendly service, gourmet meals (and cocktails and wines and craft beets!), and comfy accommodations - and, of course, the gorgeous view! 5 star resort!
Absolutely beautiful hotel and wonderful stay. The best part about the stay is the people. We found the staff to generally all be super helpful and friendly. We had a bit of an issue with one of our cars and the team was able to help - SO GRATEFUL. The breakfast was yummy and the restaurant team was very nice. However, we would love to see less plastic use as it was a surprise to see a lot of plastic / disposable items in the breakfast buffet. To that, it would be nice to see more recycling options in the rooms and around the hotel as well. As other reviews have stated - the location is FIRST CLASS and you really could not ask for something more picturesque.
I was impressed with Stage Neck Inn. It was a last minute booking for our anniversary for 3 nights and they had 1 room available with a harbor view. I was a little nervous from previous reviews that the dining room servers wouldn’t be attentive, or that our room would actually have a view of the parking lot instead of the harbor, but thankfully we did not experience either of these things! There is much to do on the property itself - indoor/outdoor pool, tennis courts, and a LONG private beach! There was a cliff walk off the beach that we tried but some parts of it were roped off because of damage from a recent storm. The indoor pool and hot tub were nice. The spa was average - the women who did the massage were very nice, yet the overall atmosphere of the spa and “bang for your buck” was just so-so. The decor everywhere in the hotel is simply beautiful! Beachy, calming, relaxing, chic. It is SO close to downtown Portsmouth and Kittery too! Even though the hotel had a wedding there each night, it didn’t feel overpacked or crowded at all. There was plenty of open seating around the inside and outside of the hotel like benches, Adirondack chairs, etc. We often got drinks from the bar “to-go” and just walked around the hotel or sat on our balcony while we enjoyed them. The only thing that was disappointing was that on our last night there, late afternoon 4pm-ish, our babysitter called out so we had to return home 1 night early. When we checked out, the hotel said they couldn’t do anything to help us, like provide a refund, discount, or anything. We really didn’t expect anything, given the impromptu nature of leaving early, but it would have been nice to get some sort of credit for a future stay. That being said, we can’t wait to come back sometime WITH our kids! I honestly couldn’t believe how many families brought their young kids. I think ours would have had a blast at the beach all day, and we wouldn’t have to carry all our stuff at once, because the hotel is right next door!
I shot a wedding here in June. As a vendor I just want to say how nice all of the staff were, the food was great, and the location for a coastal Maine wedding was perfect! I highly recommend the Stage Neck Inn for your wedding! Beautiful backdrop for a ceremony and formal photos (Nubble Lighthouse and Long Sands Beach is only minutes away for portraits as well afterwards!)
My room had a king-size bed a private balcony and a beautiful view of the harbor. The staff was excellent and my stay was very enjoyable!
I was a wedding guest, so I cant comment on rooms and pricing, but the cenue was beautiful and my cousin was stunning. The ladies room bathroom door is tricky to lock so my niece barged in on my aunt.
Wow! What an incredible stay! Special shout out to Presley, the front desk agent, and Abby, the restaurant host, and Kendra, the server, for making our stay great. We had a fabulous time at the spa, too. We stayed in one of the upper beach rooms. While our view was mostly parking lot, the view was prefaced on the website, and the quality of our room amenities/the beach being just outside balanced it out. Loved breakfast. It’s your usual hotel buffet… expect table side coffee service, rotating gourmet options daily, and exceptional hospitality from all staff involved. We didn’t know buffet eggs could be so good.
Completement incroyable !!!
