Loved this spot! My family and I have been coming to York for years, this was the best spot we've ever been to!
We were there for a wedding, and it was such a beautiful venue! The staff was incredibly friendly and engaging, making everyone feel welcome. The beef dinner option was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were perfectly made. The outstanding views were the icing on the cake and made the whole experience even more memorable. A wonderful place for a special event!
My daughter, two granddaughters and I had the BEST three days staying at The Stage Neck Inn! The staff is wonderful, friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent, our servers were very helpful with the little ones as well. The breakfast buffet was perfect! They offered everything under the sun! The homemade cinnamon doughnuts were amazing! I wanted to take a dozen home! We swam in both the outside pool and the inside pool. The beds were super comfortable, the room was spotless and well adorned. The rooms are very quiet as well. We all got the best night sleep! The beach is right next to the inn. Easy access! I would recommend The Stage Neck Inn for your next family vacation! It is very family friendly! We’ll be back!!!!! A big thank you to the Foster Family!!!
Staff is cheerful and responsive. Rooms are comfortable and well maintained. The furniture is not beat-up, however the sleep sofa in our room (205) sags badly. Shower water is hot. The menu is somewhat limited but the food is delicious and the bar provides a generous pour. My only complaint was the small patio outside our room was full of weeds growing through the pavers. It seems like a small complaint, but for the price, you would think the grounds people would weed outside the rooms. If you love history, being able to see the Boon Island light is always a moving experience. Reading Kenneth Roberts' book, BOON ISLAND should be required before visiting Stage Neck Inn. We have stayed here countless times over the last fifteen years and it is always outstanding! Stage Neck is a great place to unwind and relax for a few days. Everything is enjoyable - the clean, comfortable and nicely decorated rooms, Shearwater restaurant, the beautiful property and location. We always enjoy our time away at Stage Neck and look forward to our next trip!
We chose stage neck as our wedding venue and got married here this May! It was an amazing experience! From the staff, location, views, and hospitality, I highly recommend for a wedding or even just a relaxing getaway. Scott from dining was fantastic, he was professional, kind, and attentive throughout our stay. Breakfast was so good! Kiley our wedding coordinator was lovely, she was attentive, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful in making our day perfect. You cannot beat the views either, we got the most incredible wedding photos and had a view from every location of the wedding day. We plan on returning every year to relive the day and get away to now one of our favorite forever places!
We had a wonderful stay at this charming boutique hotel. The location is simply outstanding — the views are incredible, and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean waves was unforgettable. The food was very good, and while the breakfast brunch was just okay, it seemed much better for those who arrived earlier while everything was at its freshest. What truly stood out was the service — a solid 10/10. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. This little gem in Maine absolutely deserves a 5-star review. The location alone is worth it, and combined with the service and atmosphere, it makes for a perfect coastal getaway.
We recently stayed at Stage Neck Inn for the first time, and it was absolutely lovely! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by kind and attentive staff who made us feel truly welcome. The views were breathtaking—ocean vistas right from our room, complete with a cozy fireplace that made the experience even more relaxing. The entire inn was spotless, and the peaceful ambiance made it the perfect escape. We had the pleasure of enjoying all the meals offered—breakfast buffet, lunch, and dinner—and each one was outstanding. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. This was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable getaways we’ve had, and we can’t wait to come again!
Absolutely wonderful stay! Love the Inn's setting (highly recommend oceanfront!), the perfectly appointed rooms, the personal service and overall ambiance. The fireplace in the common area with coffee and tea always available made for a more "homey" type of stay. Do NOT miss this place. . .I will be back soon!

We had the best experience at the Stageneck Inn. It was a perfect romantic getaway and the hotel was so cute and charming. The food was amazing! We ate at Shearwater every day, and every meal we had was delicious. The breakfast was the best we have ever had at any hotel and was definitely a highlight of our stay! We could not get enough of the gorgeous harbor, beach, and ocean views at every window and the charming decor around the hotel. It was so beautiful and cozy. Our room was fantastic and we loved the fireplace, large shower, and very comfortable bed. It was so nice to have a quiet room and to be able to hear the waves crashing at night. The entire staff was very friendly and helped make our stay even better, especially Heather at Shearwater. We also had massages at the spa that were fantastic and the hot tub and indoor pool were so relaxing at the end of the day. We loved our time in York and thought it was such a charming town. All in all we had the best time at Stageneck and now have the best memories from our anniversary weekend getaway. It has definitely left a special place in our hearts and we cannot wait to come back!
Recently, spent the night for a bride getaway. Great locationGreat location, beautiful views. Spa services so relaxing. They have an indoor pool in gym.Both did not have the time to use this visit. Breakfast, lunch and dinner at the sheer water was fabulous. Bartender Heather help us pick great lunch options as well as wine. A waitress?I'm sorry I can't remember her name was fabulous for the party of ten at dinner.. so accommodating wonderful. There was a crafting event there got to bring home some wonderful homemade cards. If you're looking for a quiet relaxing, a stunning weekend, this is your place. Everyone enjoyed it, it may become the regular girls get away spot. Ty
We love Stage Neck Inn. We were so fortunate to have our wedding here on April 19th! The venue is beautiful, staff is amazing and all components of our day could not be more perfect. Words can’t describe how extraordinary Kiley is and how she helped coordinate our beautiful day. We will be back as will our guests. Thank you so much Stage Neck!
